He was the coordinator, neurology in the surgical treatment of epilepsy since 2014. In 2016, he launched the stereo-EEG program. He was one of the first in Hungary, starting vagus nerve stimulation in 2005 and a deep stimulation program for the anterior thalamic nucleus in 2015.
Participated in many clinical drug trials (cenobamate, lacosamide, brivaracetam, perampanel, EP0069) as a member of the research team and as principal investigator being the best registrar in the world (61 patients). He started and coordinates the intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) service in 2011.He received his PhD from Semmelweis University in 2008 in the field of electrophysiology of epilepsy using a new intraoperative microelectrode technique and discovered different types of interictal discharges in the human hippocampus.He leads a research group in epilepsy interested in sleep phenomena, learning and network properties, electrical brain stimulation and microelectrode recordings in humans.
