The IWIS International Exhibition of Inventions in Warsaw is Poland’s largest event promoting inventions and innovations. This year, Neurosphera could not be absent from it as well. Between October 1 and 18, audiences from all over the world will be presented with two innovations that are well known to our patients: the Ictal® robot and the patient portal – Neuroterminal.
IWIS exhibition
IWIS – organized by the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers – is the largest exhibition in Poland and the third largest in Europe dedicated to promoting scientific achievements, inventions and innovations. Every year, 400 inventions from more than 25 countries around the world are presented at the exhibition. This year’s 16th edition will be held online on October 18. Earlier, between the 1st and 17th of this month, the inventions will be evaluated by an international jury. The best of them will be awarded prizes. The announcement of the results will be followed on the website and social media.
Revolution in epilepsy treatment
The Ictal® robot and Neuroterminal create a unique and globally innovative system that is revolutionizing the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy.
Developed by Piotr Zwolinski, MD, the Ictal robot is a cybernetic module that is based on advanced mathematical algorithms and machine learning. The tool supports diagnosis in an innovative way and shows epileptologists possible treatments for epilepsy.
The Ictal robot is the brain of the second innovative system – the Neuroterminal platform. This is an advanced tool whose support is directly used by every doctor in the clinic. Neuroterminal is also useful for the facility’s patients, thanks to it they have constant contact with their attending physician. Among other things, it gives them the ability to quickly send a message to their doctor or make an online appointment. This is important because most epileptic seizures take place outside the doctor’s office. Thanks to Neuroterminal, it has become possible to offer patients an Integrated Care Plan – a clear epilepsy treatment program for as much as a year ahead, drastically increase the availability of consultations and interactions with the doctor, and improve quality of life in chronic illness.
