What are EEG and VEEG tests and what are they used for?
EEG (electroencephalography) and VEEG (electroencephalography with video recording) are the most important tests that help diagnose diseases of the nervous system. During the test, the bioelectrical activity of the brain is evaluated.
They are carried out by a specialized technician on the order of a Neurosphera doctor: an epileptologist, neurologist or psychiatrist. The doctor then prepares a detailed description of the test. Evaluation of the results is the task of the neurologist. It is he who decides the next steps – further diagnosis or treatment of the patient.
