Clinical Consultant – Geneticist
Specialist in clinical genetics. In his opinion, effective care is the care of doctors and therapists of numerous specialities coordinated by the geneticist.
In 1998 he graduated from the Medical Academy in Warsaw, in 1999-2001 he did his postgraduate internship at the University of Cincinnati, USA. From 2001 to 2012, he worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Medical Genetics of the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw.

He is employed as an assistant professor at the Department of Medical Genetics of the Medical University of Warsaw (WUM) and also as a consultant at the departments of the Paediatric Hospital of the University Clinical Centre of the WUM, where he runs the Genetic Clinic.

Krzysztof Szczałuba’s scientific interests focus mainly on neurodevelopmental issues, in particular the pathogenesis of intellectual disability, epilepsy, autism and CNS developmental defects. He is the author of over 60 IF-listed publications and numerous case reports and conference proceedings. Dr Krzysztof Szczałuba is actively involved in the multi-specialist care of children with genetically determined syndromes.
